Sultan is an accomplished language professional with a master’s degree in Arabic and German as a Foreign Language from the University of Leipzig (Germany). With extensive managerial experience, he has led Arabic language development at internationally recognized institutes like the World Learning Oman Center. Sultan’s notable contributions include creating and implementing Arabic language programs for prestigious initiatives such as the SIT Study Abroad program, the CLS Arabic program in Oman, and the Diwan-funded Salaam program. Additionally, he has enjoyed developing customized courses for various organizations visiting Oman over the years.
Hussein Al Farsi

Hussein Al Farsi - Language Director
Hussein, the Director of Arabic Programs, holds a master’s degree in teaching Arabic to speakers of foreign languages from the University of Nizwa. Currently pursuing a Ph.D. focused on the implementation of classical Arabic poetry in the AFL classroom, he brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role.
With over a decade of experience in the Omani Ministry of Education, Hussein has served as an Arabic teacher, inspector, and consultant for Arabic faculties. He has taught Arabic courses at the highest international levels, working with renowned programs such as the Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) and the Salaam program in Muscat, Nizwa, and Salalah. Hussein’s profound understanding of Arabic grammar, rhetoric, and classic poetry, coupled with his experience teaching both international and Omani students, has inspired him to co-found Noor Majan’s original institute in his hometown of Ibri. By blending his teaching methodology and philosophy with an authentic Arabic environment, he aims to create a conducive space for daily Arabic practice, fostering a truly immersive learning experience.

Saif is one of our most dedicated and talented teachers. With a PhD in the techniques of teaching the Arabic language, he uses modern teaching techniques and authentic source materials to empower students to attain their highest potential in Arabic. His classes are challenging while supportive and let you develop all language skills. Saif is also always ready to discuss any current topic that ignites your interest – in Arabic of course!

Yusuf Al Jasasi - Arabic Instructor
Youssef is a dedicated teacher with almost 30 years’ experience in foreign-language teaching. He holds a Master’s degree in TESOL and works as a consultant with the Omani Ministry of Education, whose employees know they can rely on his ability to design and implement successful courses that cater to the specific needs of various groups regardless of the members’ ages and prior qualifications. Youssef is also a great team player who advises and assists other colleagues. After having provided host-family accommodation for several of NMTI’s international students, he decided to expand the venue for applying his AFL-teaching skills beyond his home. Now the “larger audience” – the many NMTI students in his classes – benefit from his passion for teaching.

Mohammed is our Administrative Assistant. He is responsible for everything logistics and transportation-related and mans our reception during the work day. You can contact him whenever you need anything in the institute, library, computer lab or apartments.
